About Band Incubator
Band Incubator is a browser-based music practice service operated by Tech Platform PTY Ltd. It helps bands organise their own songs and resources, practise individually or together, and track progress towards gigs. It does not supply a licensed catalogue of commercial recordings or scores.
Your account and band
The manager controls the band, its member profiles, uploads and subscription. Keep your password private and only share a member’s private link or QR code with the intended person. Anyone holding that link may be able to access that member’s band resources.
The A$9 monthly plan covers one band with up to eight member profiles, including the manager. Devices do not count as additional members. Existing bands above this limit retain their current members, but cannot add another until below the limit. Contact us for larger-band enquiries.
For bands involving children, a parent, guardian or responsible adult should manage the account and permissions. Obtain appropriate permission before adding someone’s details or sharing their material.
Licence to use the service
During authorised access, you have a limited, non-exclusive right to use Band Incubator for your band’s practice and planning. This does not transfer ownership of the application or give you rights to resell access, copy the service or bypass its access controls. Third-party software retains its own licence terms.
Do not use the service to distribute unlawful content, compromise another account, disrupt the service or evade plan limits. Contact support if you believe someone has misused a private link.
Your music and uploaded files
You retain your rights in the material you upload. You must have the permissions needed to upload it, store it and make it available to the band. Purchasing a track, score or subscription elsewhere does not necessarily grant permission to share it.
You permit us and our service providers to store, process and deliver that material as needed to provide the service to your band. Do not upload material for public distribution through Band Incubator. YouTube and other external services have their own terms.
Keep your own copies of important files. Managers can remove songs and resources in the app. Send copyright concerns to support with the material’s details and the basis of your claim.
Trial, payments and cancellation
The advertised plan is A$9 per band per month, with a 14-day free trial for eligible bands. Card details are required upfront. After the trial, a monthly subscription begins unless you cancel before the trial ends. Stripe handles checkout and subscription management.
Cancel using Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues until the date shown in Billing. An expired trial or subscription may pause practice access. Cancelling the subscription does not automatically delete the band’s files or progress.
Availability and practice timing
The service depends on your device, browser, network and uploaded files. Group practice coordinates backing-track playback; it does not transmit live instrument audio between band members. Score highlighting may need alignment with your particular recording. We cannot promise identical timing on every device or uninterrupted availability.
Problems, refunds and your rights
Contact support if something is wrong with the service or your billing. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights. Any refund or other remedy will be assessed consistently with those rights.
Information about statutory consumer guarantees is available from the ACCC.
Changes and ending access
We may make changes to improve the service or address security and operational issues. Material changes to pricing or final terms will be communicated before they apply to paid customers. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse or protect the service, and will explain the reason where it is appropriate to do so.
This draft is intended for review under the laws of Queensland, Australia, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply elsewhere. Contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern.
